Course description

The intensive Italian is a practical course, developed to offer you the knowledge, the skills and the fluency you need in today world. We created a method based on modern teaching techniques to offer you motivating and involving lessons, so that you will be able to speak and understand Italian in a short time. With this intensive Italian course you will quickly develop your knowledge of Italian: in a short time, you will be able to face daily life situation, understand and use the language in an efficient way.

Course Organization

This is a course of 6 hours per day (30 hours per week), made of two hours of grammar, two hours of mainly conversation and two afternoon hours that are a mix of readings, writing, listening activities, applied grammar and conversation related to daily situations through role plays and games, enhancing the students' vocabulary and their communication skills.

For those who want, the afternoon classes can be individual, which make the course even more effective (see super-intensive courses).

This course has been developed for those who want or need to improve their Italian for work, study, social or family situations, or in general, for all the students who need to reach a good level of expression and understanding of the Italian language quickly.

The intensive course is ideal for those who are in Florence for work or on holiday, or for those who suddenly have to move to Italy and need to learn, improve or strenghten their Italian in a fast and efficient way.

The intensive course of Italian is ideal:

  • for those who have an immediate need to learn Italian quickly.
  • for those who have little time available and cannot attend long-term courses.
  • for those who want to enrich their vocabulary.
  • for those who want to strenghten their confidence in the spoken language.

Lessons structure and didactic method

  • Each lesson is 55 minute.

  • Lessons are held in a dynamic and captivating way by mother tongue and graduated expert teachers, who carefully follow each student's difficulty and progress.

  • Classes are divided according to levels: beginner, elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate, advanced. 

  • Classes are composed of students from all over the world sharing the same knowledge of Italian. Every year the school welcomes students of more than 50 different nationalities.

  • During grammar classes, new rules are explained and deepened, through readings, exercises, revision and buinding sentences.

  • During conversation classes teachers propose various and creative subjects through listening and reading activities, oral production, group works, vocabulary, dialogues, comments and discussion with other students and the teacher. 

  • During the two hours in the afternoon lessons are held in a playful and creative way, so that the students are not too tired after the four hours in the morning. Teachers propose daily situations through role plays and games, enhancing the students' vocabulary and their communication skills.

The price of the course includes enrolment fee, placement test, school book, didactic materials, certificate of enrolment, certificate of attendance, extra curricular activities in the afternoon and at night, assistance in case of visa and residence permit.
