Lessons in Florence: Italian cooking lessons, art history, Italian fashion, business and work in Italy

The Italian culture courses are short courses about important subjects of Italian culture.
Lessons are held in the afternoon, twice a week for two hours.
These courses are reserved for students that are enrolled in one of our Italian courses.

ITALIAN COOKING COURSE

Discover the secrets of Italian cuisine and learn how to cook Italian dishes

1 WEEK / 6 HOURS
3 hours for 2 afternoons per week between 05:00 PM and 08:00 PM

Italian cooking classes are held by a professional chef in a fully equipped kitchen. Under the guidance of the chef, students will learn how to make typical Italian dishes and get to know their secrets, ingredients and tools.
Lessons are held twice a week in the afternoon. The minimum attendance is one week (two lessons), the duration is about 3 hours. In the price are included the necessary ingredients and the tasting of the prepared dishes.

ART HISTORY COURSE

Learn the Italian art history and secrets of Italian art live

1 WEEK / 4 HOURS
2 hours for 2 afternoons per week

The course of art history gives students an overview of art history in Florence. Florence, an “open-air museum”, is the city of the Renaissance. During each lesson the teacher will introduce a single epoch, giving information on a monument or a building of great artistic and architectonic value. Students will also be able to visit the most famous museums of Florence together with the teacher and therefore understand the contents of the greatest works of art on exhibit.

ITALIAN FASHION COURSE

Learn the fascinating world of Italian fashion

1 WEEK / 4 HOURS
2 hours for 2 afternoons per week

The course of Italian fashion focuses on the origin of the “Made in Italy”, the great Italian fashion designers, their distinctive characteristics, their history and their differences. Each lesson will approach various topics, such as terminology, textiles, accessories, fashion-shows and latest trends. The aim of the course is to make students learn this fascinating world deeply, under the guidance of an expert teacher.

ITALIAN BUSINESS AND WORK IN ITALY

How to do business in Italy and how to find work in Italy

1 WEEK / 4 HOURS
2 hours for 2 afternoons per week

The business and work course in Italy is useful for those who have business relationships with Italian companies and with Italians. It is also useful for those who want to work in Italy to understand the world of work in Italy and its potential. Activities, contracts, documents, terminology of commerce, industry, tourism, administration. How to talk on the phone, how to introduce yourself, how to solve problems, how to make a resume, are some of the topics covered in the course.

ITALY AND ITALIANS

Discover the various aspects of the complex and lively Italian society

1 WEEK / 4 HOURS
2 hours for 2 afternoons per week

The course gives an overview of various aspects of contemporary Italian society and the Italians’ lifestyle: current events, curiosities, customs, traditions, politics, economics, Made in Italy, events, important people, Italian habits, commonplaces, language and dialects, beautiful places little known by foreigners, regional characteristics and differences, differences between Italy and other countries, Italians abroad, foreigners in Italy.
